1. Why do you offer Free Tours?

Because we believe that everybody should be able to enjoy our exciting tours and discover and learn about our beautiful country, regardless of their budget. We also think that you should not pay for a tour without experiencing it first, but that you should decide how much YOU think the tour was worth when its finished. We are that confident in the quality of our tours. You name the price - we appreciate whatever you feel is fair. As you can imagine, our tour guides have to work extra hard to earn your appreciation, so it’s a win-win situation for all.


2. How can a Free Tour be better than other tours?

Because our guides work on a tips-only basis, the highest quality is guaranteed! Their only source of income is the tips that generous people think they deserve after having taken the tour, and as you can imagine, our guides have to work extra hard to earn your appreciation. Our aim is to provide an alternative to the expensive tours offered by other companies, but we also believe that our tours are even better.


3. Do I have to make a reservation or can I just show up?

No, you do not need any reservations for the Free Tours, however, a reservation on the designated tour is recommended. You can do this by choosing a tour from here and register. Then, you just have to show up at the meeting spot and look for our guide holding a "Colour my Travel" sign. However, for any tour that might not appear on the website, reservations are a must. 4. Is there a maximum number of people allowed on a tour?

No, there is no maximum number of people for tours, but if you are planning on joining the tour with a group larger than 10 people, we recommend that you let us know from beforehand so that we can be sure to have an appropriate number of guides at the starting point on the given day.


5. What if only a few people show up for the tour?

The number of tourists is not a problem for us. As long as at least 1 person shows up and wants to take the tour, we will still do it. If you are the only visitor, you will be lucky to have your own private tour.


6. What if I arrive late for the tour?

Please try to be on time. We recommend arriving at the starting point around 10 minutes before the tour starts. However, if you are late and the tour has already started, you might be able to catch up with us along the route. If you registered for a paid tour, you may contact the number provided on your e-mail for more assistance.


7. What if I have to leave before the tour finishes?

Do not worry if for some reason you need to leave before the tour ends. Just please inform the guide so that he/she doesn’t wait for you or worry that you got lost. Besides, you can always continue the rest of the tour some other time.


8. How far are the walks?

The Free tours last for approximately 90 minutes and the other themed tours for 2 hours and we will only be covering relatively short distances. We walk at an easy pace, and because there are so many sights to stop and see, we will not be walking continuously. You can have a little rest whenever we stop, and there are places where you can take a seat while listening to our stories. If you wish to have a tour at your own pace, you're welcome to contact us for a private tour with prices starting from €90.


9. What languages are the tours offered in?

All our tours are only offered in English. However, please contact us if you have particular requests.


10. Do the tours ever get cancelled in case of bad weather?

In Malta we are lucky because we rarely have bad weather, but in case of rain the tours will still take place. Just make sure that you dress appropriately for the conditions and bring an umbrella along with you. Tours will only get cancelled in case of EXTREME weather.
